Von Roll is aware that the protection of your privacy is an important concern for you when using our website. We therefore take the protection of your personal data seriously. This is why we would like to use this privacy policy to make you aware of when we save data, what data we save and how it is used by us:

Collecting and saving personal data

This data is collected and processed for statistical purposes. We also use cookies and web analytics services when you visit our website (see items 3/4 below).

Transmitting personal data to third parties

Cookies help to make the design of our website simpler, more attractive and clearer when you visit it. Cookies are alphanumeric information files which your Internet browser automatically saves on your computer's hard drive when you visit our website. Placing cookies does not result in any data being sent to us. We use cookies to determine default settings for country and language selection, for example. Most Internet browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or so that a notice always appears when a new cookie is used. Deactivating cookies may render you unable to use all of the functions on our website.

Web analytics services

For the purposes of designing our sites so that they meet requirements and for continuous optimisation we use
the web analytics service Google Analytics. In this context, anonymised usage profiles are created and cookies are used, as a result of which information about your use of this website is generated. This information includes:
‐ Browser type/version;
‐ Operating system used;
‐ Referrer URL (the site that you previously visited);
‐ Host name of the computer which is accessing the website (IP address);
‐ Time of server request;
‐ GeoSegmentation;
‐ Language;
‐ Time zone;
‐ Connection type

This information is used to perform statistical analyses. On no account is the IP address connected to other data relating to the user. IP addresses are anonymised so that it is not possible to assign them (IP masking).

Analysing search requests

If you use the search function on our website, we analyse this data to find out if the search function is working correctly and whether improvement is required.

We use suitable technical and organisational security measures to ensure that your data is protected against tampering, partial or full loss, destruction and unauthorised access by third parties. We continuously improve our security measures in line with technological development. This privacy policy is currently valid and dates from 27th November 2015. It can be accessed and printed out at any time on our website.
